DayOfUs was founded in 2025 in Toronto by two friends who kept running into the same problem. As young working professionals, they realized how hard it was to make new friends once the structure of school was gone.
Most of the apps out there seemed to fall into two camps: dating apps, or career networking apps. Both had their place, but neither made it easy to meet people face-to-face in a relaxed setting-over a casual dinner, a shared activity, or just good conversation.
One evening, after yet another conversation about how their social lives felt limited to work colleagues and old friends, the idea clicked: what if meeting people felt more human? Less swiping, more real conversation-built around shared experiences that make it easy to connect.
From that spark, DayOfUs was born: a platform designed to make meeting new people feel natural, effortless, and fun.
